Jake had been right on the agents' heels, ready to jump in and pull them back if they proved to be a threat. Except that somehow they weren't and so he drew back, down the corridor, listening to the commotion down the lab but he kept his promise to Artie and didn't enter. Even if it was damn tempting.
It wasn't until the squee came, it made him wince as too sensitive ears picked it up, did he venture back to the open door. It'd worked then and he grinned before slipping away and down the hall. Claudia would find him when she'd caught up with Joshua.
