Room 317, Thursday afternoon

Claudia's alarm clock was fritzing. A smart ass might point out that this was because it was currently in pieces, strewn across the floor (or at least, her half of the floor, she didn't want to risk the unknown wrath of her new roommate by encroaching on her territory with tiny bits of plastic and silicon), but she'd point out that it was, in fact, fritzing before she took it apart. She was just looking to fix the problem.

And, okay, see if she could get it to pick up interdimensional radio signals. Or at least HD and satellite.

"At least until someone perfects solar storage batteries." Scully tilted her head to watch Claudia. "We need to have a science geek meeting sometime soon. Check in with everyone who was looking into stuff on the Island."

"Sure. Though maybe you should take over? I'm kinda proving terrible at planning stuff like that."

Scully looked surprised, and said tentatively, "I don't know if I'd call myself a planner, but sure. If you'd prefer it." She looked thoughtful. "Maybe invite people to help put together the trebuchet again?"

"Lord knows I've been procrastinating on that, enough. Do we wanna still do it out at the camp, or maybe bring it all up to the roof?"

"The camp, I think. More room, less questions." Scully paused. "And I really don't want to deal with that elevator again."

"Camp it is. Hope it cools down a bit, first."

Scully smiled. "We can always have more water balloons handy."

"Assuming they don't boil. This weather makes me miss Minnesota."

"Ice cubes, maybe... and I'll take heat over cold any day." Ugh, Antarctica. "Maybe the beach this weekend. I haven't seen it yet, really."

"The beach could be cool. I could get a tan."
